The state of demolition

Reframe It.

Not talking about a picture here. And I don’t mean to sound harsh or abrasive, brash or cold or insensitive. But I say it with passion – re-frame it! I’m talking about the things you used to love before your heart was broken. Reclaim it. It belongs to you. All those love songs and records you no longer play because it reminds you of pain and hurt. Play them over and over and over again. Except instead of remembering them being about what used to be. Remember one of the most important relationships you will ever have – that is the loving relationship you are building with yourself.

When you play the songs you used to play change the thought process. Don’t imagine or fantasize or cause yourself to long for the relationship that doesn’t exist. See how the lyrics of almost every song can be about the love and care you will show for yourself. The care you always deserved and just didn’t know it. And now.

This exercises will take time. Like creating a new pathway in your brain. But that’s what were doing. We are doing the hard work. That’s what demolition is.

I have had to learn to take my love for entire states back and visit them again because I loved them first. Nobody gets to rob you of the things that once brought you joy unless you let them.

Everything is reframeable. Everything. What will you re-frame? While you ponder and apply this I hope you begin to discover a sense of power and a feeling of freeness.

Tonight’s going to be brief. It’s been a day. I’m sure for you as well. Until tomorrow. Hold on.
